Trudy grew up in New Jersey, but Fort Collins has been home for 25 non-consecutive years, with a 4-year stint in Barcelona, Spain. As a graduate of Purdue University with a degree in Nutrition, Trudy volunteered for 10 years to help the American Diabetes Association with the “Safe At School” program for type I diabetics. Through her combined experience helping people navigate medical and community-based services for diabetes management, and her time in Spain, Trudy feels these experiences have helped her to be a more sensitive Health Coverage Guide. Trudy enjoys meeting with clients to help navigate the complexities of getting correct eligibility for their health coverage and then diving into the plans to explain how to narrow the choices depending on their medical priorities and needs. Now that we have finished our 7th open enrollment, "clients are like friends." Trudy loves being a grandma. Her interests are Mah Jongg, traveling, cooking, and playing hide and seek in parks with her grandkids.
